Hello lovelies and happy Friday! How are you? I’ve seen this meme on Savanna’s blog a couple of times and I thought it looked like a really fun, positive way to wrap up the week. So I thought I’d try it too!
How to participate in the meme:
1. Credit the creator of this tag and link back — Nomadic Worlds
2. Answer the four questions to the best of your ability.
3. Most important of all, enjoy yourself!
F – Feature your latest book obsession.
I finished The Serpent King on Monday and I loved it so much. It’s one of those books that really gets under you skin and stays there. I know I’ll be thinking about these characters for a long time. If you’re looking for a contemporary that’ll crack your heart wide open, then gently piece it back together – this is the one.
I – Indicate which book you are looking forward to reading this weekend.
April’s been a kind of weird reading month for me, I’ve only read one book that I really loved and I’ve had a hard time figuring out exactly what I’m in the mood for. So I decided to pick up something totally different: The Sailor Who Feel from Grace with the Sea, a Japanese classic with an uncommonly good title. I’m not sure why, but I have a really good feeling about this one.
F – Favorite quote of the week.
I mean, I could flip to any page of The Serpent King and pick one. But honestly, the line that’s been stuck in my head all week is from a song called Shelter by Dermot Kennedy.
“Don’t get caught up in caution when love exists.”
F – Five things you’re happy or grateful for this week.
🌸 Spring – Brighter days, warmer weather, pretty flowers everywhere. What’s not to love?
🌸 The Bold Type – Jane, Sutton and Kat always make me smile and I’m so glad they’re finally back.
🌸 Cats – I don’t even have cats. I’m just happy these weird, wonderful little creatures exist.
🌸 Rumi – Reading Rumi always makes me feel more grateful and grounded. It never ceases to amaze me how someone who lived more than 800 years ago, could write poems that feel so relevant and even revolutionary to me in 2019. Words are some kind of magic.
🌸 Freshly baked rolls for breakfast – I tried to think of something a little more… meaningful. But I just really love my bread, guys.
Glad you could join in the meme. Nice post! 🙂
