10 Wildly Romantic Book Quotes

Hello lovelies! How are you? I hope you’re having a lovely weekend! You all know how much I love beautiful quotes, so of course I couldn’t do a whole week of romance themed posts without sharing some my favorite romantic book quotes, that would be ridiculous. So to wrap up this week of romance, here’s some wildly romantic lines from books:

“I gave up practically the whole world for you,” I tell him, walking through the front door of my own love story. “The sun, stars, ocean, trees, everything, I gave it all up for you.”
― Jandy Nelson, I’ll Give You the Sun

“I think you’re a fairy tale. I think you’re magical, and brave, and exquisite. And I hope you’ll let me be in your story.”
― Laini Taylor, Strange the Dreamer

“I would have come for you. And if I couldn’t walk, I’d crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we’d fight our way out together-knives drawn, pistols blazing. Because that’s what we do. We never stop fighting.”
― Leigh Bardugo, Crooked Kingdom

“There is music in your soul. A wild and untamed sort of music that speaks to me. It defies all the rules and laws you humans set upon it. It grows from inside you, and I have a wish to set that music free.”
― S. Jae-Jones, Wintersong

“Even in its first faint traces, love could alter a landscape. It wrote unimagined stories and made the most beautiful, forbidding places.”
― Anna-Marie McLemore, Wild Beauty

“I love you,” he murmured into my hair. “You are my night and stars, the fate I would fix myself to in any life.”
― Roshani Chokshi, The Star-Touched Queen

“There’s a Japanese phrase that I like: koi no yokan. It doesn’t mean love at first sight. It’s closer to love at second sight. It’s the feeling when you meet someone that you’re going to fall in love with them. Maybe you don’t love them right away, but it’s inevitable that you will.”
― Nicola Yoon, The Sun Is Also a Star

“I know you loved both he and I, the way a mother can love two sons. And no one should be judged for loving more than they ought, only for loving not enough.”
― Catherynne M. Valente, Deathless

“The things that were once sweet to me are now bitter. The sun is not half so bright. The stars seem dimmer. All this wealth and luxury feels meaningless. All the world is in your shadow, Zahra. I cannot help but see you when I close my eyes.”
― Jessica Khoury, The Forbidden Wish

  1. To the stars who listen and the dreams that are answered. ❤ I'm not really a romance reader and the ACOTAR series isn't exactly what you'd call romantic, but that line is the single most wonderful thing two people could ever exchange.

  2. Ahhhh I love your choices so, SO much, they’re fantastic! I love that quote from I’ll Give You The Sun, this book is one of my favorites of all times. I also adore the Crooked Kingdom one, but, like everyone I guess haha 🙂 I can’t wait to read The Sun Is Also a Star, that is a beautiful quote! ❤ ❤

  3. Lovely post, and great picks! I find Catherynne M. Valente’s quote right here particularly lovely. There’s this quote from Anne With An E that says “life is very complicated. Then again, it’s very simple. Love who you love and be with them.” I find that simple yet pretty for some reason.

  4. Such lovely quotes. I’m adding quite a few of them into my quote notepad. I especially love Bardugo’s quote, thank you. ❤️

My favourite one is from Les Miserables: “To love or have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing further. There is no other pearl to be found in the dark folds of life.” 💕
